ARTIST ELEANOR CROOK WHO I MET LAST WEEK
So these amazing sculptures are by the artist Eleanor Crook. She has been exhibited internationally and commissioned for major places like The Wellcome Collection, The London Science Museum, Guys Hospital and The Royal College of Surgeons. She lectures at Central St Martins Art School and runs a class at the Royal College of Art.
She is also the artist in residence at The Gordon Museum of Pathology where I work so last week my boss set up a meeting for us ^^
I got to talk to her about my work, advice, the art world, anatomy etc for about 2 hours and it was really fascinating and helpful. She seemed really interested in my work and gave me some great ideas on how to progress and places around London that would be of help to me. She’s going to visit the museum again in the next few weeks and will be finishing her latest piece in the office I am based in so I may get to watch/assist :)
